BOS birds Sweden - Take 2 (September 2025)
Back to All Albums
Seven BOS members travelled ‘across the pond’ on August 31 to partake in a 7-full-days-tour of southern Sweden, centering on the famous Falsterbo Peninsula. Under the expert leadership of Stephen Menzie, our group caught up with 125 species of birds. Highlights included fantastic views of Water Rail and White-tailed Eagle, Arctic Loon, 16 species of shorebirds (waders), no less than 4 Black Woodpeckers, Green Woodpeckers, a particularly fantastic raptor flight, an adult male Bearded Reedling, point-blank views of Red-backed Shrike, Pied Flycatcher, Common Redstart and so much more!
Members joining this adventure included Peg Clukey, Marilyn Feuerstein, Steph Foraker, Roberta Kellam, Lynne Landon, and Tim Schadel. We essentially got rained out on one day and had a few showers on another, but the other 5 days were glorious!
