This Ross’s Goose was photographed by Brad Reinhardt near Port Colborne, Ontario on the 5th. Note the head and bill shape (as compared to the Canadas) as well as the lack of a black ‘grin patch’ - these points help to discern from Snow Goose. If looking for a Cackling Goose - match the Ross’s head and bill shape to a Canada-patterned goose and there you go!
